The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday approved 13 proposals to be introduced in the ongoing Monsoon session of the State Legislature.
The major proposals included Building Regularisation in urban areas and A.P. Land (Conversion for non-agriculture purposes) (repeal) Ordinance, 2025, and introduction of three Bills by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Panchayat Raj and Revenue departments to ease the land conversion procedure and encourage non- agricultural activities like industrialisation and urbanization.
A Bill on aquaculture, GST, and one on amending the A.P. Prevention of Begging Act, 1977, to remove discriminatory words like leprosy also got the nod. Further, the Cabinet also ratified a proposal related to appointment of selected individuals in government employment from different categories like sports and others.
