The duo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and the All Progressives Congress( APC )in Anambra state have drawn fresh battle lines over the incident at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja where an alleged business partner to Ukachukwu embarrassed him demanding for the payment of a N10 Billion debt he has been owing.
While the All Progressives Congress (APC) is accusing APGA of masterminding what it called a set up, (APGA )on its own part insists that it knew nothing about the incident adding that the matter is not about Indeptednes but a fraud .
According to the Director Media and Communication Ukachukwu/ Ekwunife Campaign Organization Chief Chido Obidiegwu, the incident was madterminded by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) led government in the state adding that it was occastrated to witle down the growing popularity of it’s candidate Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu.
“To this effect, we have it on good authority that having failed to use media to blackmail our candidate and his running mate, the governor released large sum of money through one of his Commissioners to a certain individual to mobilise some miscreants to attack the APC governorship candidate in order to sustain his land grabbing lies”
“The miscreants were directed to search for any public event where our candidate would attend. The brief was simple, “shout, land grabber, oga where is my land, oga refund my money.”
“Reliably these miscreants were paid in both Anambra and Abuja to search for our candidate and embarrass him just to justify Prof Soludo’s lies of land grabbing against the APC candidate”
“Ndi Anambra are by this kept on notice and urged to look out for an issue based campaign that will culminate in a peaceful, free, fair and credible election devoid of dark arts, antics and black mail ahead of November 8th 2025”
“The Office of the Inspector General of Police has been petitioned with this information and they are investigating the matter with a view to make public their findings”he said.
But the National Publicity Secretary of APGA Mazi Ejimofor Opara countered Obidiegwu stating that neither the party nor the Governor had a hand on the incident adding that it is not a question of Indeptedness but that of faud .
Ejimofor described Ukachukwu as one that has the penchant for fraudulent activities narrating what he called a litany of fraud.
“Around early 2022 Mr Achema a real estate mogul had undertaken a land deal with Mr Ukachukwu. The deal was a 10 hectare land in Abuja.
” Mr Achema made a commitment of 1billion Naira for the said property from the funds made available to him by interested off-takers trusting his years of experience in the industry”
” It turned out the said 10 hectares was nonexistent as Ukachukwu was not forthcoming with his own side of the bargain after collecting a whooping 1billion Naira from Mr Achema”
“Mr Achema gets petitioned in 2022 to the EFCC by his own clients alleging that he obtained money from them by trick. He was arrested and he made solemn statement to repay the money, and was granted bail” he noted .
Ejimofor went down memory lane about what had transpered between Ukachukwu and Achema which led to his being rearrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
” In 2023 he was re-arrested by the EFCC and paraded (see him in picture below) after failing to secure the money from Mr Ukachukwu. Note, Achema’s clients paid to Achema, who in turn paid to Ukachukwu through his company “Chupi Company Limited”
“This is 3years after many fruitless attempts by Achema to recover his money from Mr Ukachukwu”
“Following a tip-off, Achema stormed Transcorp Hilton, Abuja to accost Mr Ukachukwu who had been avoiding him all this years. This is the reason for the video on the internet”
“Evidence of payments to Mr Ukachukwu through an account belonging to one “Chupi Company Limited” has surfaced showing hundreds of millions paid into it.
“This is fraud! And the days ahead will be interesting unless Ukachukwu pays back” he concluded.
