Entering the season, it seemed like Clemson football was back and perhaps just as good as ever. More news: Clemson Fans Turn on Dabo Swinney After Embarrassing Loss to Duke Unfortunately for Clemson, that hasn't been the case, and plenty of the blame has continued to be directed at Dabo Swinney. After Clemson lost a tough game to Duke on Saturday, dropping the contest 46-45 at home, it fell to 2-4 in the ACC and 3-5 overall. For a Clemson program that's typically one of the best in the nation, it's simply been unexcusable what it has put out there on Saturdays. Swinney’s seat seems hot, and when speaking about the situation, CBS sports analyst Damien Harris stated on the CFB pregame show that if Clemson lost that game, which it did, and it continues to lose, it wouldn't be surprising to see Swinney’s name be the first on the hot seat list moving forward. “If Clemson loses again, and they continue to lose, I will just say this: Dabo Swinney’s name will be the first on the coach’s hot seat list going into next season,” Harris said. “It will be the first, it will be the biggest, and it will be the most warranted. For a program that has been at the heights that Clemson has been to, and for the success that Dabo Swinney has had, the fact that he has not been able to mold himself and adapt to the game around him is showing.” While Harris seems to give Sweeney another year, it might not be too surprising to see him get canned at Clemson after this season. More news: Clemson Has Decided on Dabo Swinney’s Future Amid 3-4 Start Clemson only has four games remaining on its schedule, so firing him now might not be the best plan. It feels like something could be in the works in the near future, however.
