An antique car was stolen near Bangor and then set on fire

An antique Buick was stolen in Levant on Monday and then set on fire about 30 miles away.
The light yellow or cream 1970 Buick was stolen from a Pember Road home between 1 and 5 p.m., according to the Maine fire marshal’s office.
It was found about 6 p.m. near 30 miles away in the Somerset County town of Ripley, where someone set it on fire, the fire marshal’s office said Thursday.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen the car between Levant and Ripley to contact the fire marshal’s office at 1-888-870-6162 or the Maine State Police at 207-624-7076. The fire marshal’s office is asking that people check doorbell, security, dashboard and business surveillance cameras for any possible sightings of the stolen vehicle.
