An American woman was gobsmacked during a tour of Anfield Stadium when a child posed an unexpected question to her. Kelsey Kotzur, hailing from Brooklyn, embarked on a UK trip with her husband, Jared, in early November, which included a visit to Liverpool. After spending a few days in London, the couple journeyed to Liverpool, where they enjoyed a performance by Andy Hodgson at Taggy's Bar. They then attended Liverpool FC's home match against Aston Villa FC on Saturday, November 1, where LFC won 2-0. However, it was during their tour of Anfield the next day that Kelsey encountered a surprising moment. Sharing her experience on TikTok, she revealed a child's question that left her shaking her head. She recounted: "Just had a tour of Anfield, and we were with a group of kids. The tour guide was asking where everyone was from, and we said we were from Brooklyn and this kid looks at me and goes 'you're from America? Do you carry a gun with you?'" "And I was like, 'no, no I don't have a gun', and he was like 'you don't have a gun?'. He was baffled that we didn't have guns." "So that's what they think about America." Kelsey's post drew comments from fellow Americans who expressed embarrassment over the perception people held of them. One user shared a similar experience, stating: "Yep. I went to Iceland and the hotel shuttle driver thought everyone owned a gun." Jared revealed he began supporting Liverpool FC after he "fell in love" with the club, the city and its culture. He said: "It's actually crazy, I didn't even realize how many parallels there were between scouse/LFC culture and who I am naturally when I started supported. "It's legit like fate haha, had no choice in the matter!". During their visit to the city, the pair also took in Penny Lane and hoped to enjoy a Sunday roast from Hawksmoor, but turned up after the cut-off time.
