Amazon shoppers have been raving about a major reduction on a smartwatch that is quickly replacing Apple . People have been saying how much they love the “robust” style that easily keeps up with daily life. Normally sold for £99.99, the IOWODO smartwatch has been given a major price drop to £29.99 . With a 70% saving, shoppers can opt for something that does almost everything that the more expensive and well-known brands like Apple, Fitbit, and Garmin can do. The IOWODO watch offers “military-grade ruggedness” meant to withstand harsh environments. Amazon claims that it is “ideal for craftsmen, hikers, and extreme adventurers” but it easily can support everyday life too. The devices can be linked via Bluetooth to also pull in real-time text messages and social media notifications. Amazon goes on to claim that the device offers impressive battery life that requires less frequent charging. It was suggested that this handy gadget could outlast some of the leading brands and that a single charge could last with “30 days of full operation.” For those who like to stay fit, the watch has over 100 sport modes—including hiking, cycling, and climbing—to track and record your progress. It draws on common exercise goals such as steps taken, calories burned, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels. It also works through the night (when worn) to track your sleep quality. There are similar options in the market for those looking to grab themselves a smartwatch without shelling out a fortune. For example, Sports Direct is offering this Karrimor Smart Watch (£19.99, down from £49.99) and the Reflex Active Series 23 Smart Watch from Currys (£39.99), but many customers have shown a strong preference for this Amazon offer . There have been dozens of reviews left online by people who were pleased with their purchase . One said: “The screen quality is exceptional – crisp, bright and one advantage of its greater size, big and easy to read. The watch also seems very robust, it seems very resilient to being marked from knocks, which are part and parcel of daily life.” Another added: “Recommend to anyone looking for a smart, trendy and robust smart watch at a fraction of the cost of more well-known brands.” A third said: “Replaced an older Apple Watch which had reached the end of its life. This does everything that did and so far no problems.” However, not all reviews were glowing. One claimed: “It stopped working after what, two weeks? I can’t be bothered to give it back!” And, another warned other shoppers that the battery claims might not be as long-lasting as you expect. They said: “The 100-day battery life stated in the description is a typo, I think. Elsewhere in the blurb, it says 20-days battery life. Even this, from my experience so far, is a tad optimistic.” But, the majority had little to no issues with their new smartwatch. Someone else said: “This smartwatch is sleek, lightweight, and comfortable enough to wear all day. “The display is sharp and bright, making it easy to read notifications and health stats even outdoors. Battery life lasts a couple of days with moderate use, and charging is quick.”
