Amazon India will triple the number the number of micro-fulfilment centres to 300 by the end of 2025 to cover more cities under its quick delivery service, Amazon Now. The expansion also comes as part of its ₹2,000 crore investment in India this year.
“We are at 100 centres right now. We plan to close the year with 300 centres by the end of this year. This will be our first time with quick commerce capabilities this season. So, we will learn from this one at this point,” said Karan Chugh, Director – Operations, Amazon India.
The company has planned 17 fulfilment centres by the year-end, along with 75 delivery stations and six sortation centres.
Amazon India has also expanded its dedicated B2B fulfillment centre capacity by three times ahead of the Amazon Great Indian Festival (AGIF) 2025. This expansion enables up to 50 per cent faster delivery speeds for Amazon Business customers as MSMEs and enterprises look to ramp-up procurement this festival season. The infrastructure capacity expansion for B2B deliveries has been done across fulfilment centres in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru.
Karan Chugh, Director – Operations, Amazon India, said: “With the launch of three new fulfilment centers in Thane, Nagpur, and Pune, this brings our total to six FCs in Maharashtra.”
The festival season starts from September 23, with 24-hour early access for Prime Members from September 22.
