Amazon has slashed the price of a "sporty" smartwatch that is not "too complicated to use" by more than £100 of its usual cost. Despite being designed to be "rugged," shoppers have praised it as "comfortable to wear" for any occasion. At the time of writing, Amazon had cut the price of the OUKITEL Smart Watch from its normal cost £139.99 to just £34.19, allowing buyers to save more than £100. The timepiece features an adjustable silicone strap designed to "withstand extreme environments" and plenty of customers have given rave reviews. In the product description, Amazon said: "The body of the smartwatch is made of aerospace metal and the screen is made of durable and shatterproof glass, which not only can better resist drops and impacts, but also can be used in extreme environments as low as -40C. You can wear it while bathing, swimming, surfing or hiking." The "waterproof and rugged" timepiece is engineered to be "rock solid" and promises to handle any type of sport. It boasts 100 different tracking modes to monitor progress whilst running, jogging, cycling, walking, outdoor training, skiing, swimming, and more, reports the Daily Record . Amazon added that its built-in optical tracking sensors can monitor your heart rate, log your sleep, gauge blood oxygen and pressure, and help you assess and understand your physical condition. It also monitor and log your steps, distance and calories burnt throughout the day. Aside from sports and fitness, the watch uses Bluetooth technology to keep track of incoming notifications from smartphones, supporting message alerts from Facebook, X, WhatsApp, and Instagram. It also has the ablity to answer and make calls right on your wrist. For those who don't want to splash out hundreds on a big-name device, there are similar budget smartwatches available. Bargain hunters can snap up the Reflex Active Series 23 Smart Watch for £39.99 from Currys or this Karrior Smart Watch from Sports Direct for just £19.99, reduced from £49.99, but dozens of Amazon customers have been singing the praises of the budget watch while it's on sale . In the reviews, one customer said: "Top-grade build quality. Rock solid, waterproof and a lot of dial options. You can even customise your own screen protector. Replacement straps are easily available for this size. Overall, very happy with the purchase." Another wrote: "It has an impressive battery life of 30 days under normal use and 100 days on standby, perfect for my outdoor adventures, like surfing or mountaineering. Its sturdy, waterproof, dustproof, and fall-resistant design, with an integrated compass and barometer, makes it a reliable companion for dealing with extreme conditions." A third reviewer put: "It's light on the wrist, doesn't slip, and I can keep it on all day without it bothering me. I didn't want a gimmick, I wanted a useful tool, and for now it's doing its job well. "I was looking for a simple smartwatch to track my steps and receive my calls without having to take out my phone every time, especially when my hands are busy. I hesitated for a while because I didn't want something that was too complicated to set up or with a thousand options that I would never use. I immediately liked this one because it looked sturdy, with a well-readable screen, and had the call function, which changes my life when I am on the move." However, there were some complaints from customers, including claims that the device didn't deliver on its promised accuracy. One buyer said that the step counter and monitoring capabilities were "inaccurate and inconsistent". Another shopper complained: "Very basic! Sensors with little or no precision and, to top it all off, it stopped working after a week." Despite this, the majority sang the praises of what they called a "real technological gem". One shopper said: "The Bluetooth calling feature is fantastic, I can answer calls directly from my wrist without taking out my phone. The design is sporty and elegant, ideal for any occasion."
