Amazon Seller Services sharply narrows loss, posts 19% growth in revenue in FY25

Amazon Seller Services Pvt Ltd, the entity that operates the Amazon marketplace in India, substantially narrowed down its net loss to ₹374.3 crore in FY25 from ₹3469.5 crore in FY24, as per its regulatory filing, sourced from financial intelligence platform Tofler. The e-commerce major posted total revenue of ₹30,491.3 crore in FY25 recording a growth of 19.14 per cent over ₹25,592.8 crore in FY24.

Revenue from operations stood at ₹30,138.6 crore up 18.6 per cent, crossing the ₹30,000-crore mark for the first time. This was aided by stronger cash flow from operations which witnessed a nearly 7x growth over FY24 as well as focus on cost controls.

The e-commerce major has been looking at sharpening its play in the quick-commerce space with Amazon Now, which it launched earlier this year. It recently launched the 10-minute delivery service in parts of Mumbai. Earlier this month, the company said it has opened more than 100 micro-fulfillment centres across Bengaluru, New Delhi and Mumbai to offer its 10-minute delivery service, and it plans to open hundreds more such centres by the end of the year. The company said it has been witnessing 25 per cent growth in daily order month-on-month. “Amazon Now will continue to expand to more neighbourhoods in Bengaluru, New Delhi and Mumbai with plans to launch in other cities in the coming months,” it added.

In June, Amazon announced that is investing over ₹2,000 crore this year to support network expansion. “This significant investment will focus on enhancing Amazon India’s operations infrastructure, improve associate safety and well-being programmes, and develop new tools and technology for its fulfilment network. This new investment builds on top of Amazon’s investments in creating an operations network that helps the company deliver to all serviceable pin-codes across India,” it noted.
