Amazon cuts 33% off Morphy Richards slow cooker, in time for autumn comfort meals

Amazon has knocked 33% off the price of a Morphy Richards slow cooker that’s ideal for chilly-weather meals. As temperatures drop, bargain hunters have been rushing to grab this discounted slow cooker, which takes the hassle out of preparing hearty dishes like Sunday roasts, warming stews, and satisfying casseroles. The sleek black and rose gold appliance has been reduced in the 3.5 litre model to £40 from £60, whilst the bigger 6.5 litre version has dropped from £75 to £60. The gadget has racked up nearly 5,000 reviews on the online platform with an impressive average rating of 4.7 out of five stars. Shoppers can also choose from a range of other shades including blue and purple through to red and titanium, reports Devon Live . Alternative slow cookers perfect for autumn cooking include Dunelm’s 1.5 litre Manual Slow Cooker , which has earned nothing but five-star ratings. Priced at just £15, one customer commented: “Used quite a bit already – works well and great for rice pudding.” Another choice is the Tower Cavaletto 3.5L Slow Cooker , which is also available at Dunelm. It’s currently discounted by 20%, reduced from £35 to £28. Returning to the reduced Morphy Richards Slow Cooker, the kitchen appliance features a sear and stew function enabling home cooks to brown ingredients in the hob-safe pot, although it should be noted this isn’t compatible with induction hobs. The cooker also features a three heat setting, allowing home cooks to prepare meals at their own speed, while the clear lid offers the convenience of checking on your food without any fuss. For those who dread the clean-up, the cooker is a breeze to tidy up due to its detachable shatterproof pot, and both the non-stick pan and lid are dishwasher safe. The 3.5-litre design is ideal for families or couples who enjoy hosting, as it can cook up to four main courses. One customer remarked: “Excellent. Replaced a previous one, which was too big for just two of us, this is light and so much easier to wash and better than the ceramic pots. Used it a couple of times and will no doubt get a lot of use in the coming winter.” Another was equally pleased, stating: “Excellent quality…fantastic the way you can brown off meat, vegetables and then add your liquids and slow cook. The pan is good quality just use oven gloves to lift into slow cooker base. Looks very smart…good value for money.” However, one shopper pointed out a problem with the item , writing: “It works ok and looks good, but I wiped the dial with a dry cloth and all the lettering came off, so now I have to remember which way the switch is on Hi-Lo-Med etc.” Another said: “Nice enough product, however, a little bit plastic-looking. Good size for two people.” Despite these comments, others enjoyed using the cooker, with one customer noting: “Brilliant, works as a braising dish and then as a slow cooker – dual purpose, super.” Another customer said: “Love this slow cooker. It’s so easy to use and makes great casseroles, soups, curries, etc. Have used it for brisket and chops, too. We have an induction hob, so need to brown any meat first in a frying pan but that’s no problem.” They added: “This is much lighter than my ceramic one of decades ago and it is used often. I’ve had it for over a year and it’s such a valuable addition to the kitchen. I love setting it going and coming home to a delicious meal that’s ready to eat.”
