Amazon has cut the price of a "top-grade" smartwatch that shoppers have described as "perfect for outdoor adventures." While it's built to be "rugged," people have said it is "comfortable to wear" for any occasion. At the time of writing, Amazon had slashed the price of the OUKITEL Smart Watch from its usual £139.99 to just £34.19, meaning customers can enjoy saving more than £100. The smartwatch comes with an adjustable silicone strap designed to "withstand extreme environments", and many people have left glowing reviews. In the product description, Amazon adds: "The body of the smartwatch is made of aerospace metal and the screen is made of durable and shatterproof glass, which not only can better resist drops and impacts, but also can be used in extreme environments as low as -40C. You can wear it while bathing, swimming, surfing or hiking." The "waterproof and rugged" smartwatch is built to be "rock solid" and vows to handle any kind of sport . It has 100 different tracking modes to chart progress while running, jogging, cycling, walking, outdoor training, skiing, swimming, and more. Amazon says its built-in optical tracking sensors can document your heart rate, record your sleep, measure blood oxygen and pressure, and help you measure and understand your physical condition. It also measures and records your steps, distance and calories burned throughout the day. Beyond sports and fitness, the watch uses Bluetooth technology to monitor incoming notifications from smartphones, supporting message notifications from Facebook, X, WhatsApp, and Instagram. It can also answer and make calls, supported by contact synchronisation. There are similar budget smartwatches available for those who do not want to spend hundreds on a device. Shoppers can purchase the Reflex Active Series 23 Smart Watch for £39.99 from Currys or this £19.99 Karrior Smart Watch from Sports Direct , down from £49.99. But dozens raved about the Amazon watch whilst it is on offer. In the reviews, one said: "Top-grade build quality. Rock solid, waterproof and a lot of dial options. You can even customise your own screen protector. Replacement straps are easily available for this size. Overall, very happy with the purchase." Another wrote: "It has an impressive battery life of 30 days under normal use and 100 days on standby, perfect for my outdoor adventures, like surfing or mountaineering. Its sturdy, waterproof, dustproof, and fall-resistant design, with an integrated compass and barometer, makes it a reliable companion for dealing with extreme conditions." Someone else put: "It's light on the wrist, doesn't slip, and I can keep it on all day without it bothering me. I didn't want a gimmick, I wanted a useful tool, and for now it's doing its job well. "I was looking for a simple smartwatch to track my steps and receive my calls without having to take out my phone every time, especially when my hands are busy. I hesitated for a while because I didn't want something that was too complicated to set up or with a thousand options that I would never use. I immediately liked this one because it looked sturdy, with a well-readable screen, and had the call function, which changes my life when I am on the move." There were a few complaints, such as the watch not living up to its accuracy claims. One shopper suggested that the pedometer and tracking features were "inaccurate and inconsistent". Another wrote: "Very basic! Sensors with little or no precision and, to top it all off, it stopped working after a week." But, most had nothing but good things to say about this "real technological gem". A satisfied shopper wrote: "The Bluetooth calling feature is fantastic, I can answer calls directly from my wrist without taking out my phone. The design is sporty and elegant, ideal for any occasion."
