As 2027 politics continues to gather momentum in Delta State, Nigeria, the Delta State Chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Engr. Austine C. Okolie has urged detractors to follow constitutional procedure; register to become a Member of ADC in their various Wards, LGAs in Delta.

Engr. Austine Okolie had, in the release, described his alleged suspension- media claim by some political jobbers as laughable, baseless, and a cheap political blackmail.‎Daily Independent learnt this from the Delta ADC State Chairman today, being on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, ‎ in a statement made available to Journalists in Asaba, Delta State capital, as he tells detractors what to do to become members of ADC in Delta State.

The statement by the Delta ADC Boss reads in parts: “It is important to state clearly that those involved have no constitutional mandate whatsoever to discuss issues relating to the ADC Delta State, much less to issue a press release of a so-called vote of no confidence on my person”.

“The most laughable aspect of this entire charade is that we cannot even identify any of them as registered members of ADC in Delta State. They have never attended any ward, local government, or state meeting of the ADC. One is therefore left to wonder: In what capacity are they acting?”‎‎”If they claim to be intending members whom I allegedly refused to receive into the party, the question becomes: Does an intending member have the constitutional right to pass a vote of no confidence on the leadership of the party they intend to join? The answer is an emphatic NO!”.

“Their actions are therefore nothing but the antics of enemies of the ADC coalition, desperate detractors working against the interest of our great party. Let it be placed on record that ADC Delta State is focused and determined to build a formidable, people-oriented structure across the board, capable of winning elections at all levels. We will not be distracted by unknown individuals whose only motive is to cause dissatisfaction within our well-organized structure”.‎“‎I therefore issue a strong warning to these political jobbers and their sponsors: desist from parading yourselves as members or leaders of ADC Delta State, because such criminal impersonation will no longer be tolerated. The general public and the good people of Delta State are hereby advised to totally disregard the so-called “new leadership” being paraded, as it exists only in the imagination of mischief-makers.‎“To our committed members across Delta State, I urge you not to relent in your efforts as we pursue our collective mission to achieve a better Nigeria come 2027. ADC Delta remains one, indivisible, united, and unstoppable with a glorious handshake of peace and progress. ‎ADC Arise and Shine! Nigeria Must Be Rescued in 2027!”
