“Ted Lasso” and “Shrinking” actor Brett Goldstein stars in another project for Apple TV+, this time a romantic drama with a near-future, sci-fi twist. Debuting on the streaming service Friday, “All of You” follows Simon (Goldstein) and Laura (Imogen Poots), friends from college who have feelings for each other but start to go their separate ways after Laura takes a test that reveals her soul mate. Goldstein also produced and co-wrote the film with Emmy-winning “Black Mirror” writer William Bridges, who makes his directorial debut with “All of You.” Available on Apple TV+
Take a trip back to 19th-century Dublin, as Netflix is serving up a pint of historical drama this weekend with its new series “House of Guinness.” Dropping all eight episodes of season 1 this week, the show centers around the titular Irish family and their rise to power thanks to their now world-famous beer. The series features “Masters of the Air” actor Anthony Boyle, “Enola Holmes” star Louis Partridge, and “The Responder” actress Emily Fairn. Available on Netflix
As “Gilmore Girls” celebrates its 25th anniversary this fall, this weekend is the perfect time to revisit Stars Hollow and the New England-set series. Starring Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel as fan-favorite mother-daughter duo Lorelai and Rory, the show ran for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007, later returning for Netflix’s 2016 revival “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.” The original series is currently streaming on Hulu and Netflix. The A24 military drama “Warfare” arrived on HBO Max earlier this month. Alex Garland, who wrote and directed last year’s “Civil War,” teams up with Iraq War veteran Ray Mendoza to direct and write the film, which follows a platoon of Navy SEALs deployed overseas whose mission goes awry. “Warfare” stars an impressive ensemble cast, including D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Will Poulter, Cosmo Jarvis, Michael Gandolfini, Noah Centineo, and Joseph Quinn.
