Alien: Earth season 2's fate has finally been revealed. After the season 1 finale was released on September 23, fans have been waiting to see whether the hit series will continue. As evidenced by the 94% "Certified Fresh" critical score on Rotten Tomatoes, Alien: Earth's reviews were incredibly positive, as the franchise's first television show received significant praise for its cinematic and original storytelling. Now, FX has confirmed that Alien: Earth has been renewed for season 2 and filming is set to start in London in 2026. The renewal comes as the show's creator, Noah Hawley, signs a new overall deal with Disney Entertainment Television. Season 2 will debut on FX and Hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally. Check out FX Chairman John Landgraf's statement about the renewal and Hawley's new deal below: “It has been our great privilege to work with Noah for more than a decade on some of FX’s best and biggest shows, and we are thrilled to extend our partnership well into the future,” said Landgraf. “Noah never stops surprising us with truly original stories— and his unique ability to bring them to vibrant life as a director and producer as well as writer makes him extraordinary. We can’t wait to get to work on the next season of Alien: Earth, as well as some equally exciting future projects in advanced development." More to come...
