Alia Bhatt seems to have found a new passion and it’s none other than pickleball. The actress recently took to Instagram to share a video of herself playing the sport and it is clear that her skills are levelling up day by day. The way she handled the paddle like a pro showed off her growing love for the game. What added to the delight was that the video is set to the beat of Mere Gully Mein from Gully Boy.
In the video, Alia looked every bit the fitness icon in a blue sports bra paired with matching gym shorts, perfect for her match day. Throughout the video, she exuded focus and enthusiasm and in the end, she is heard saying, “You have to put only that much effort.”
In her caption, Alia added a hint of humor, writing, “Some arguments were had over my padel obsession,” and even dropped the hashtag hardfacts.

Alia Bhatt’s Pickleball Practice Sessions
Before this, Alia had been spotted several times playing after her pickleball practice sessions. Anyone familiar with the sport knows how rigorous and intense it can be, which proves that fitness is a top priority for Alia. A video of the moment earlier surfaced online saw her in a simple yet stylish look, wearing a black tank top over a sports bra paired with comfortable gym shorts and she also had a sipper in hand.

Interestingly, Alia is not the only one enjoying the sport. Her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, has also been spotted on various occasions playing pickleball with her, hinting that it might be their new shared hobby.
About Love And War
Well, not just personally, the duo is coming together on big screens as well. Earlier this year, Ranbir opened up about their upcoming film Love and War during a meet-and-greet in Mumbai, “Love and War is something which is every actor’s dream. To work with brilliant actors like Alia and Vicky and to be directed by the master, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I worked with him 17 years ago. To work with him again, I can say this with so much of clarity that I haven’t met a human being who works so hard, who understands characters, emotions, music, Indian culture, Indian value system, as much as Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”
About Love & War, the film is scheduled for release next year in March. Besides the real-life couple, the film also features Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. There is also speculation that Bhansali’s longtime favourite, Deepika Padukone, might make a cameo in the film. Originally slated for Christmas 2025, the release was pushed to next year for unforeseen reasons.
With pickleball sessions, fitness goals, and exciting film projects on the horizon, Alia Bhatt continues to impress fans both on and off the screen.
