Alejandro Garnacho's time at Manchester United was marked by his attitude and public outbursts that drew fan backlash. However, Chelsea coaches have reportedly been encouraged by the Argentine's behaviour towards training since his arrival. The 21-year-old ended his time at United in late August, completing a £40m move to Stamford Bridge . Garnacho was signed from Atletico Madrid for a nominal fee in 2020 and went on to make 144 appearances in a Reds shirt. His career at Old Trafford eventually came to an end after failing to adapt to Ruben Amorim's system. In December, he was dropped for the Manchester derby alongside Marcus Rashford , and later omitted from the Europa League finale in Bilbao. Garnacho voiced his frustration over limited minutes in a post-match interview, and he received fan criticism in June when he posted a holiday photo wearing Rashford's Aston Villa shirt . Upon returning from his holiday, the winger joined the so-called 'bomb squad' and requested his exit from Old Trafford . However, his spell under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea appears to be heading in a different direction. According to Give Me Sport , Garnacho has impressed the Blues' staff at Cobham and they have been encouraged by his 'attitude and intensity' in training. He's reportedly put in extra work to improve his decision-making in the final third and made a habit of staying behind after training to fine-tune his finishing and crossing. Coaches are said to see that dedication as a clear sign of his mentality. Sources within the camp also say that he's 'taking everything in' and remains eager to impress. Off the pitch, Garnacho is believed to be settling well into life in west London. Compatriot Enzo Fernandez has reportedly helped Garnacho settle into his new environment, with younger South American players also playing a role. The 21-year-old has started Chelsea's last four Premier League matches on the left wing and he grabbed his first goal for the club in their home defeat against Sunderland. Despite not yet playing 90 minutes and a run-in with Pedro Neto last month against Nottingham Forest - where he was hooked at half-time - Garnacho has impressed Maresca. Speaking about the Argentine and fellow summer signing Jamie Gittens, the Chelsea boss said: "They are both adapting to our the way we work every day. They are both doing well. This is what we want from our wingers, you know, score goals and assist, and it's good to have both doing well so we can choose one or the other one."
