Oct 29 (Reuters) - Alaska Airlines (ALK.N), opens new tab said its website and app were down on Wednesday, days after a technology outage grounded its flights across the U.S. The airline said the latest disruption stemmed from a global outage affecting Microsoft's (MSFT.O), opens new tab Azure platform, which has impacted key systems, including its websites. The issue was being looked into, the carrier said on X, as it responded to customers who were facing challenges while accessing the company's website. Advertisement · Scroll to continue JetBlue Airways (JBLU.O), opens new tab on Wednesday also flagged that its passengers traveling through Orlando International Airport (MCO) may experience longer-than-normal check-in times due to an IT issue. The ground stop caused by last week's technology outage forced the carrier to cancel over 400 flights and disrupted travel for more than 49,000 passengers. Shares of Alaska Airlines were down 2.2% in afternoon trading. JetBlue was down 1.3%.
