Alabama football: Ryan Williams listed on LSU availability report

Alabama football’s Wednesday evening availability report for Saturday’s game against LSU included one minor surprise. Superstar wide receiver Ryan Williams was listed on the report, which noted him as probable for the game. Williams has dealt with injuries this season, and has been off and on the report throughout the year. Crimson Tide coaches have not mentioned any new injuries for Williams throughout this week. Alabama had five players listed as out for Saturday’s game Qua Russaw, Jah-Marien Latham, Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., Cayden Jones and Jeremiah Beaman will all miss the matchup. Four of those players are dealing with injuries. Kirkpatrick is suspended indefinitely after he was arrested during the Crimson Tide’s bye week. In addition, Danny Lewis Jr. is questionable. Kalen DeBoer gave a fairly positive update on the tight end’s health on Monday. “Danny Lewis, we’ll see how things go throughout this week, but the bye week was certainly good,” DeBoer said. “He was able to play during the previous week so I’m hopeful that he’ll be ready to go, but expect him to be on the football field practicing with us more this week than he has the previous two.” LSU had two players listed as out, defensive end Gabriel Reliford and offensive lineman Tyree Adams. Linebacker Zach Weeks is doubtful, and Whit Weeks is questionable. The Bayou Bengals listed offensive lineman Carius Curne as probable. LSU is entering Bryant-Denny Stadium with a new interim head coach. Frank Wilson will lead the Tigers, after former head coach Brian Kelly was fired entering the bye week, following an embarrassing loss to Texas A&M in Baton Rouge. Alabama and LSU are scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT Saturday in Tuscaloosa. The game will be aired on ABC.
