Al Rantisi Children’s Hospital, Gaza Eye Hospital Rendered Non-Operational, Palestinian Health Ministry Warns (1)
Gaza, September 22 (QNA) – Al Rantisi Children’s Hospital and the Eye Hospital in Gaza Governorate have been rendered non-operational due to the relentless targeting of their perimeters by Israeli occupation forces, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in a statement on Monday.
The statement added that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately and methodically strike the healthcare system in the governorate, as part of the policy of collective extermination it is waging against the Strip.
It further pointed out that all facilities and hospitals in the governorate lack safe access routes, preventing patients and the wounded from reaching them.
The Ministry reiterated its call to all relevant international bodies to provide protection for healthcare institutions and medical personnel.
The Eye Hospital is the sole public facility providing ophthalmic services in Gaza Governorate, while Al Rantisi Hospital offers specialized services not available elsewhere in the region. (QNA)
