AJ Brown Breaks Concerning Eagles Trend vs Rams

A.J. Brown has not gotten off to a fast start this season, and the Philadelphia Eagles fans have let him hear it the first couple of weeks. Entering the Week 3 game against the Los Angeles Rams, he had only six catches for 35 yards. He once again got off to a slow start in the first half on Sunday, and the Eagles were down 19-7 at the half. It got worst to start the second half, as a turnover by the Eagles turned into another score for the Rams, increasing the lead to 26-7.However, the Eagles are starting their comeback now, and Brown is starting to make his presence felt in the game. He had a big catch on a scoring drive that cut the deficit to 12. Then, on the next drive, Brown found the endzone for the first time this season.Brown is too talented of a player to continue struggling, and frankly, it was more how the Eagles were playing offense. In the first two games of the season, the Eagles were able to manage the game as the score was always in their favor. However, with the team down, the Eagles had to open it up, and have their star receiver deliver. In the second half, he is doing just that, reminding the league that he is still one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. Every season that Brown has played, he has had at least 63 catches for 869 yards and five touchdowns. For Brown’s part, he has handled the early season struggles in a professional way. He has been a guy throughout his career who at times has had bad body language when he got frustrated. However, numerous times in the first couple of weeks reporters have asked him questions that could have warranted a frustrated response. He never took the bait though, and said he was going to continue doing things how he knows he is supposed to. The Eagles were winning their games, and Brown knew him voicing his frustrations would do nothing positive for the team. For the Eagles to repeat, they are going to need Brown to deliver many big plays throughout the season. He is their go to receiver, and a guy that Hurts has a great relationship with. Hurts knows when he needs to convert a big pass play, Brown is going to show up and make those type of plays. For more on the Eagles, head to Newsweek Sports.
