Air Canada halts service on Montreal-Bermuda route

Air Canada has removed the seasonal direct flight between Montreal and Bermuda. The airline removed planned weekly service for the summer of 2026 from its calendar, according to the airline schedule platform AeroRoutes. Air Canada’s weekly service to Montreal was not included in a schedule published by Skyport this month. The last flight listed for take-off was on October 18 and the airline said it also planned to reduce its Toronto service from five flights a week to two. Travellers will have other options to travel between Montreal and Bermuda as island carrier BermudAir continues to operate a non-stop flight twice each week between the two destinations. The removal of the Montreal-Bermuda direct route is part of Air Canada’s broader strategic adjustments to its flight network, according to a report on the travel blog Travel and Tour World. It said carriers across the globe, such as Air Canada, were re-evaluating their routes in response to fluctuating travel demand and operational considerations. While Air Canada’s decision to halt the Montreal-Bermuda direct flight may impact some tourists, it said the ongoing availability of flights via BermudAir and other carriers ensures the island remains a key destination in the Caribbean and Atlantic region.
