Since September, Jimmy Donaldson, the most popular YouTuber and man behind the MrBeast moniker, has hired at least four top executives for his company Beast Industries. The YouTuber, who was recently parodied by SNL, is primarily known for his over the top videos and high spending stunts. However, he has also launched several business ventures, including CPG brand Feastables, and has teased a possible fintech endeavor. The recent hiring spree is a part of Donaldson’s greater ambitions to transform his company into a diversified media powerhouse like Disney, as Business Insider previously reported. The recruited executives include Noah Wieseneck, former Snapchat senior manager; Byron Kendal, former VP of Talent at e-commerce company Rokt; Kelly Calabrese former head of industry media and entertainment at TikTok; and Corie Henson, former NBCU unscripted executive. Both Wieseneck and Calabrese were brought in to expand the company’s partnerships, holding the titles of VP of brand partnerships and VP of global media and brand partnerships respectively. Kendal will lead acquisitions as the VP of talent acquisition and technology, while Henson joined earlier this year as president of the company’s studio division. In addition to senior positions, Beast Industries has continued to grow its braoder team—now around 450. According to the company’s job board, they are currently hiring for at least 23 positions, ranging from head of video or viral marketing to systems engineering and IT jobs. For those selected, they must pass what the company calls a “vibe check,” a trial period based on individual’s match with the company culture.
