AHPI, Star Health resolve differences; to restore cashless services from October 10

The Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) and Star Health and Allied Insurance Co Ltd (Star Health) have resolved their differences in the nick of time and decided to restore cashless services at AHPI member hospitals effective October 10, 2025, the AHPI said.

They have also agreed to ensure that other outstanding issues including tariff revisions are resolved by October 31, 2025, it added. AHPI had earlier advised member hospitals to stop cashless services from Star Health, from September 22, 2025 – and that now stands revoked.

“To prevent similar incidents in future … AHPI will help form a group of industry leaders who will collaborate with key insurers to reach an industry level agreement,” the Association said. Both AHPI and Star Health Insurance said in the statement that they would prioritise the welfare of patients and policyholders, and work together in the future to strengthen healthcare access across the country.
