After Kane Williamson, Lucknow Super Giants To Sign Former SRH Coach Before IPL 2026: Report

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have been one of the busiest teams since the end of IPL 2025 and they are busy signing the members of the coaching staff. They have already parted ways with Zaheer Khan, who joined them for two years before IPL 2025. His stint came to an end after just one season. The Lucknow-based franchise recently signed Kane Williamson as its strategic advisor. Williamson hasn't retired from IPL. He went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega-auction. LSG are now reportedly set to sign a former Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) coach. ESPNcricinfo has reported that Tom Moody will join LSG as their global director of cricket. Apart from working with LSG in IPL, he will also work with LSG's sister franchises in SA20 and The Hundred. Moody, who used to coach Punjab Kings in the initial IPL seasons, enjoyed success with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He coached them from 2013 to 2019. He returned to SRH in 2021 and had another two-year stint with them. David Warner-led SRH won the IPL 2016 title win with a victory over Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final. Led by Williamson, SRH again made it to the final of IPL 2018. They lost to Chennai Super Kings in the final. Warner replaced Williamson as captain upon his return to IPL in 2019.
