In an update to the ASX, WiseTech Global confirmed that officers from ASIC and the AFP executed a search warrant at their offices in Alexandria on Monday. “They executed a search warrant requiring the production of documents regarding alleged trading in WiseTech shares by [founder] Richard White and three WiseTech employees during the period from late 2024 to early 2025,” the ASX updated stated. “So far as WiseTech is aware, no charges have been laid against any person and there are no allegations against the Company itself. “WiseTech intends to fully co-operate with any investigation.” The raid comes following an investigation by The Australian Financial Review, The Sydney Morning Herald, and The Age which alleged Mr White had sold more than $200 million worth of WiseTech shares during a blackout period while failing to inform the market. Last year, Mr White resigned as chief executive; however, remains an executive chairman. The investigation also probed his personal life, detailing his interactions with women and a lawsuit with a former lover, that has been settled. He has denied allegations of any improper behaviour. “I has been a challenging time for me personally, my family and close friends, and for the company that I have built and truly love,” Mr White said in a statement following his resignation as CEO. “I want to assure all those who have supported WiseTech as customers, colleagues and shareholder that I remain absolutely committed to seeing this incredible organisation continue to thrive and grow in the coming years.” The statement said Mr White remained “passionately committed to WiseTech and its future”. “His clear desire is to concentrate fully on the product vision and business development initiatives for WiseTech as it continues its journey to be the operating system for global logistics,” it said. In July, the company’s former chief of staff Zubin Appoo was named as the new chief executive. “I’m deeply committed to our people, our customers, our shareholders, our partners, and the global logistics and trade industries we serve,” Mr Appoo said in a statement.
