Adrian Roach Set For First Overseas Fight

Boxer Adrian Roach is set for his first international bout as he prepares to face Victor Emmanuel López in Mexicali, Baja California, on October 4.

Roach, who is fighting on the same card as fellow Bermudian Saundre “Dash” Simmons, will meet López [2-3] in a four-round welterweight contest at the Gimnasio de Mexicali.

The 23-year-old claimed a first-round stoppage win against Canadian Brent Coxworthy on his debut at The Shed in Dockyard in July.

“We will make our stamp on foreign soil and bring island pride to the big nation of Mexico,” Roach said.

A decorated amateur with 41 bouts, Roach represented Bermuda at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games in El Salvador and was named Boxer of the Year at Crandall University’s Blue & Gold Awards in March.
