Adam Sandler has been in some of the biggest sports movies of all time, so it wasn’t a surprise to see him hanging out with Bears quarterback Caleb Williams over the weekend. The Bears posted a picture of Sandler hanging out with Williams after the Bears’ 26-14 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday at Soldier Field: The caption “Adam Sandler, what are you doing here” references Sandler appearing as a guest star in an episode of the Disney Channel show “Jessie” in 2013: Of course, Bears fans are more likely to know Sandler from his string of hit sports movies, including “Happy Gilmore,” “The Waterboy” and “The Longest Yard,” among others. In the latter film Sandler played a quarterback sentenced to prison who’s forced to play in a football game against the guards, so it’s unclear if he provided Williams with any advice gleaned from that experience…..or what was in Williams’ cup in the photo, with some speculating that it was “high-quality H2O” delivered by Bobby Boucher himself. Whatever the case, Williams and the Bears will be aiming for a fifth consecutive win on Sunday when they take on the Baltimore Ravens.
