Nearly two years after the Minister for mental health opened the Depression Recovery Trust's Wellington treatment centre, it's on the brink of closing down. ACC recently stopped funding for clients using its services, and without any intervention, it could be closed by Christmas. In a statement, ACC says it told Whakamatutu that it would end the programme as originally planned, due to lower than expected referral numbers and because the pilot's original aims were not fully achieved.
