Aaron Chalmers' ex Talia Oatway claims she solo parents their disabled son

Aaron Chalmers' ex Talia Oatway has furiously slammed the Geordie Shore star and claimed she has to solo parent their disabled son Oakley, despite the fact that he is still involved with their other children. Talia and Aaron share three children together - Romeo, Maddox and Oakley - while she also has a daughter, Siennah, from a prior relationship. Oakley has Apert Syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes fusion of the bones in the hands and feet, as well as the skull. Talia regularly posts updates about her youngest son's health. In a recent update, she claimed she has to raise Oakley on her own and said that her ex, Aaron, does not come to hospital appointments with them. In an Instagram story, she shared how angry she was: "I'm absolutely fuming, like fuming. The reason I come on here and explain what’s happened to Oakley is because I’m still living in fear. I’m not over the trauma." She then explained why she is so angry: “I do solo parent two of my children. Oakley’s here every single night, he has been for over a year and the fact that this person can just go online and start talking about his medical care when he doesn’t attend any appointments, doesn’t attend hospital, is mind-blowing.” Talia went on to imply she wasn't happy with how Aaron posts about Oakley and suggested he didn't have a right to because he is not involved with their son's care. She said: "I come on here and show the reality of what it’s like to solo parent two of my children as well as have another two children. “I have four and solo parent two of them and the stress I’m under with hospital appointments, nurses, operations, MDTs, it’s a lot and I’m doing it on my own, I’m literally doing it on my own and I’ve had enough. That one person thinks it’s okay to puts my son’s health stuff online which I haven’t digested myself yet. “Fair enough if I do it, because I’m the one that’s parenting him and I’ve just had enough. I’ve had it up to here with pretending that everything is okay and that I’m doing it with someone else, when I’m not.” This comes shortly after Talia had to take Oakley to the hospital to see some neurosurgeons. She shared that her toddler had to have CT scans of his brain to "rule out a lot of stuff" and that she left with "no answers". "Oakley had a gemranosec earlier this morning to have a CT scans on his brain just to basically out rule a lot of stuff for the sickness. So he had that and then had to wait obviously for the neurosurgeons to look at the scans. I mean I’ve still got no answers but they did tell me some bits that’s going on with Oakley’s brain which obviously has petrified me. “But I’m waiting until the surgeons at Newcastle obviously speak to the surgeons in Liverpool and then I’ll have more of an understanding about the situation that Oakley is in." Oakley was born in February 2022. Talia and Aaron had been together for five years at that point, but they broke up just months after Oakley was born. The Mirror has reached out to Aaron's representatives for a comment. Like this story?
