SaaS startup PostHog raises $75 million at $1.4 billion valuation, turns unicorn

Software-as-a-service (SaaS) PostHog turned unicorn after raising $75 million in a funding round at a $1.4 billion valuation, in a round led by Peak XV Partners with participation from other existing investors.Cofounder and co-CEO James Hawkins made the announcement in a LinkedIn post, describing how this new phase marks “Act 2” for PostHog. With this funding, the startup will deepen its focus on developer tools beyond analytics. “We are going deeper into being a devtool, not “just” analytics. We will keep improving our existing tools, and adding more of them to generate better insights into how your products are performing, but we’re also going to start working on generating pull requests for you,” Hawkins said.Founded in 2020 by Hawkins and Tim Glaser, PostHog has built an integrated “customer infrastructure” platform, which combines analytics, feature flags, session replay, data warehousing, error tracking, and AI-powered automation tools. The startup enables businesses to capture detailed customer interactions and automate business logic like emails or support responses through a single platform.PostHog had previously raised $70 million in June 2025, led by Stripe, which valued the company at $920 million. Other backers of the startup include Y Combinator, GV (Google Ventures), and Formus Capital.
