In a riveting piece of research released Friday, media watchdog NewsBusters revealed an absurd level of Jimmy Kimmel’s jokes have been aimed at MAGA since 2023. You knew the number would be high, but we’re talking an astronomical number. Brace yourselves. “According to an aggregation of previous NewsBusters studies, 92 percent of Kimmel’s jokes since January 2023 have been about conservatives,” the site claims. Out of 7,797 political jokes over that period, NewsBusters reports that only 565 were aimed at Jimmy’s buddies on the Left. Of those jokes, 3,584 were aimed at Donald Trump. Joe Biden was on the receiving end of 336 jokes. Kamala Harris received 12 jokes. What about Jill Biden? FIVE. Melania Trump? 181. Here’s the full list of subjects who have been the target of Jimmy Kimmel jokes, based on NewsBusters’ research: Jimmy Kimmel pulled off the air for his statements about the Charlie Kirk assassin Here is the exact moment when Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night career came unraveled. This is exactly what Kimmel told his audience about the Kirk assassination: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang trying to characterize this kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said during his show’s Monday monologue. MORE FROM OUTKICK: JIMMY KIMMEL REFUSES TO ADDRESS LIE ABOUT CHARLIE KIRK’S ALLEGED ASSASSIN “In between the finger-pointing, the White House flew the flag at half-staff, which got some criticism, but on a human level, you can see how hard the president was taking this.” Based on the stats, one would be led to believe that Jimmy Kimmel said the hell with it, he was going to go out as a political martyr on the left and be remembered fondly by the LIBS for his service. “I think this is my final contract,” Kimmel told the L.A. Times in 2024. “I hate to even say it, because everyone’s laughing at me now — each time I think that, and then it turns out to be not the case. I still have a little more than two years left on my contract, and that seems pretty good. That seems like enough.” Kimmel’s contract expires at the end of May 2026.
