India is buzzing with festive cheer as devotees come together to honour Goddess Durga and her nine forms. In north-west, the festival is known as Navratri while in most eastern states, the festival is revered as Durga Puja. The main highlight of Durga Puja celebrations are beautiful pandals that are known for their creative approach.
People along with their friends and family visit them where they offer their prayers and enjoy the bhog that is served. This year, one particular pandal in Siliguri, West Bengal, is doing exactly that. It has captured attention online for a surprising twist that comes with a Titanic connection. Yes, you read that right.
Lord Shiva Doing Titanic Pose?
The video, shared on Instagram, shows a ship-shaped pandal with the word “Titanic” written on it. The deck of the ship has statues of people and among them, surprisingly, is Lord Shiva. But the fun part is the pose of the deity.
Lord Shiva is seen in the exact pose made famous by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet in the movie Titanic where the two actors stood at the front of the ship with arms stretched wide. On top of that, the footage is set to the song My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion.
The “Titanic pose” recreation by Lord Shiva is what made the internet going crazy over it.
According to details shared along with the video, this creative pandal is located near Amtala Bridge in Siliguri, West Bengal.

Internet Can’t Stop Laughing
Since being shared online, the video has gained significant traction as it gathered more than three million views. Not only this, the comment section is flooded with jokes, witty remarks and playful reactions from viewers.
One user jokingly commented, “I bet Shiv ji was also laughing after watching this.”
Another added, “Rose Mata missing,” while a viewer said, “Why Parvati Mata missing?’
“You’re going to hell, I’m going to hell, we’re all going to hell,” someone remarked.
“Mahadev in Titanic mode,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Enough Durga Puja for this year” and “If Titanic were in Kailash” were some other fun remarks.
But not everyone found it funny. Some viewers felt the pandal was disrespectful to Hindu deities with a person saying, “Complete joke on culture and religion.”
An individual added, “Ye kya majak bna rkha h thoda samman kar lo bhagwan ka (What kind of joke is this, please respect God),” while another comment read, “This is a total disrespect to Lord Shiva.”
The Titanic twist has made this pandal is hard to ignore.
