Bradley has yet to start a Premier League match for the reigning champions this season after recovering from a hamstring injury which limited his initial involvement. The 22-year-old came off the bench at half-time in a dramatic late victory over Burnley last Sunday and was also introduced with 30 minutes left to play as Arne Slot’s side kicked off their Champions League campaign with a win against Atletico Madrid. Bradley built up crucial minutes during the recent international break with Northern Ireland, starting in World Cup qualifiers against Luxembourg and Germany. The Castlederg native is battling against summer signing Jeremie Frimpong for the right-back position at Liverpool while Dominik Szoboszlai, who normally plies his trade in midfield, has also been an option used by Slot. Liverpool enter Saturday’s showdown at Anfield with their bitter rivals sitting top of the table after winning all four league matches to date while Everton are in sixth. Following a loan move from Manchester City, Grealish provides the Toffees’ main source of creative spark and has registered four assists in as many league matches at the start of this season. The 30-year-old England international was named Premier League Player of the Month for August and Merson believes Bradley is best equipped to deal with the threat of an in-form Grealish. “I would choose Conor Bradley at right-back because of Grealish,” Merson told Sportskeeda. “If you play Jeremie Frimpong there, he’s not a good defender and he bombs forward all the time. “So I think Bradley is the best choice at right-back in this game. “Arne Slot will have another headache on the other side, where Milos Kerkez has failed to hit the ground running. Not only did Andy Robertson replace him in the first half vs Burnley, but the Scot also scored against Atletico in the Champions League. “There’s just so many options available for Liverpool and Slot will have to ensure he keeps all of them happy.”
