Moore River possible drowning: St John WA, police rush to scene after reports four people in distress

Emergency services are responding to a possible drowning in a river north of Perth, after reports of four people in distress.

WA Police and St John WA rushed to the scene in Guilderton — located about 85km north of Perth — about 11.10am on Tuesday.

St John WA confirmed one man is in critical condition.

Another man has been taken to Joondalup Health Campus under normal road conditions.

The West Australian understands two women were also involved in the incident, but their conditions are not believed to be life-threatening.

More to come.
