Nick Sirianni and the Philadelphia Eagles were able to take care of business once again in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Against one of the other top teams in the NFC, the Eagles ended up winning by a final score of 31-25.
Following the win over the Buccaneers, Philadelphia now holds a 4-0 record. So far, the Eagles have looked good as they look to defend their Super Bowl win from last season.
While the wins so far this season have not come easy, Philadelphia has found ways to get the job done. Even when the team has faced adversity, it has found ways to come out on top. That is a sign of a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

Unfortunately, in Week 4, the Eagles suffered a brutal injury setback.
Head coach Nick Sirianni of the Philadelphia Eagles looks on before the NFL Preseason 2025 game between Philadelphia Eagles and New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on August 22, 2025 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
According to a report from Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer, defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo likely suffered a torn triceps against Tampa Bay.
“Eagles OLB Ogbo Okoronkwo is believed to have tore his triceps in the Bucs game and is likely headed to injured reserve, per NFL sources,” McLane wrote. “Still awaiting more testing. Edge rusher depth taking a hit last few weeks with Nolan Smith (triceps) on IR and not expected back till November.”
Okoronkwo has not held a huge role for Philadelphia so far this season. However, he is one of the Eagles’ top defensive depth pieces. Losing him for a significant amount of time will be a tough pill to swallow.
During the 2024 NFL season with the Cleveland Browns, the 30-year-old defensive end racked up 23 total tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble. He’s more than capable of playing an important role when called upon.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport also provided an update on Okoronkwo. It sounds like he could miss the remainder of the 2025 NFL season.
“Ogbo Okoronkwo is expected to be done for the season, source confirmed,” Rapoport wrote. “A hit to Eagles depth.”
Expect to hear official news in the near future. Perhaps Philadelphia will look into adding more help at defensive end to replace Okoronkwo. Either way, this is a disappointing development for the Eagles.
