It’s a ‘Win for Prince William’ as Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson Are Banned From Upcoming Royal Celebrations
Some say the holidays are a time to get together with members of the family, while others say it’s also a time to forgive relatives for the past and unite. Well, that’s exactly what King Charles did on Christmas Day in 2023.
It was the family’s first Christmas with him as the monarch following Queen Elizabeth II’s death, and the king surprised everyone with the decision to allow his brother, Prince Andrew, alongside his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, to join the rest of the royals for their annual Christmas morning walk to church.
But two years later, the disgraced prince and Fergie likely have the king regretting that choice.
There have been fresh reports about the Duke and Duchess of York‘s ties to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and the king is none too happy about it.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson under fire amid fresh Epstein allegations
Prince Andrew’s name will be forever tarnished over the sexual abuse allegations made against him by accuser Virginia Giuffre and his car crash interview on Newsnight, in which he tried and failed to explain his friendship with Epstein.
However, it was a different story when royal fans saw Fergie join the royals in 2023. Many were happy that the duchess was back with the family. Her appearance during the annual Christmas walk at Sandringham came after years of seeing her pop up here and there and speculation that she might be rejoining the royal fold. But now, it appears we may have seen the last of Andrew and Fergie, following the new allegations about their association with Epstein.
Express noted that several charities have cut ties with Sarah and she’s been heavily criticized when it was recently revealed that she kept in contact with Epstein after publicly disowning him. Past emails show that she even called him a “supreme friend.” She also apologized to the late financier for comments she made to the media in 2011. Sarah’s spokesperson claimed that Fergie only apologized because she feared Epstein was going to sue her for defamation.
As for Andrew, it’s been revealed that during a trip to the U.S. in May 2000 to promote his campaign for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, he saw the billionaire paedophile while promoting the child protection charity. Andrew, who was on a taxpayer-funded trip to New York, may have breached royal travel guidelines by breaking off to fly from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Palm Beach via Epstein’s private jet with him and Ghislaine Maxwell.
As you can imagine, none of this is sitting well with King Charles. According to multiple reports, he is done putting up with the constant issues and bad press that Andrew and Fergie have continually brought to the royal family, so the monarch is barring them from future events, including the Christmas walk to church and other festivities at Sandringham.
The news has been described as a huge “win” for Prince William as the future king has been pushing his father to cut ties for a while now because of the Yorks’ ties to Epstein.
This news comes after the Prince of Wales was thought to be very upset that he was photographed next to Prince Andrew, who was trying to engage and speak to William at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral a few weeks back.
