Doha, September 29 (QNA) – The Qatar Chamber (QC) has successfully concluded the 33rd edition of its training program for customs brokers and representatives, held in collaboration with the General Authority of Customs (QAC).
The month-long initiative aimed to qualify customs clearance professionals by enhancing their knowledge of customs-related regulations and procedures. It also sought to elevate the standards of the customs clearance profession, improve operational efficiency, provide high-quality services to the public, and alleviate congestion at customs ports.
Participants received comprehensive training on a wide range of topics, including international preferential agreements, customs procedures, tariff structures under the harmonised system, rules of origin, customs law, and the use of the Al Nadeeb electronic clearance system.
Since its launch in 2015, the program has played a key role in preparing many customs brokers and representatives for the field. Upon successful completion, trainees are awarded attested certificates from the Qatar Chamber, qualifying them to sit for the final examination administered at QAC headquarters.
The Chamber continues to organize this program regularly as part of its broader strategy to support the Qatari business community by developing a skilled workforce capable of facilitating and expediting customs clearance processes at national ports. (QNA)
