Ongoing Israeli Bombardment of Gaza Kills 18 Palestinians

Gaza, September 30 (QNA) – Eighteen Palestinians were killed and others injured Monday as a result of the intensive shelling and airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said that five people were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment of the Al Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Four members of the same family were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed a building housing displaced persons in the Al Katiba area, west of the city.

A citizen was killed and others were injured when Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the Sabra neighborhood, south of the city. Two citizens were killed and others were injured in another attack near Al Salam Mosque in the same neighborhood. Injuries occurred as a result of an Israeli drone attack targeting a group of citizens in the Al Shati refugee camp, west of the city.

A number of civil defense personnel were injured in an Israeli attack on Abu Hasira Street, west of the city.

In the central Gaza Strip, six civilians were killed and others wounded in several raids launched by Israeli occupation forces on homes and tents of displaced persons in the Bureij and Nuseirat camps.

Medical sources said that 39 martyrs have arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals since dawn today, as a result of the Israeli aggression.

The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 66,055 martyrs and 168,346 wounded.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health said that 50 martyrs and 184 wounded arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, including five martyrs and 48 wounded aid seekers. This brings the total number of martyrs who arrived at hospitals to 2,571, in addition to more than 18,817 wounded. (QNA)
