Actor Ralf Little, best known for his role as Antony Royle in The Royle Family since 1998, has also starred in popular shows such as Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and BBC’s Death in Paradise, where he played the charming Detective Inspector Neville Parker. He left the role in 2024, but remains a beloved figure on the crime-drama, with fans eagerly awaiting his return. While there are no immediate plans for him to reprise his role as the DI, it seems another character he’s portrayed might be making a comeback. On Monday’s episode of This Morning with Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Ralf, who recently shared some exciting news , expressed his interest in reviving the character Jonny Keogh from Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. Ben queried: “What about a remaking of Two Pints? It feels like lots of things have come back. It feels like that would be prime for that to get you all back.Ralf responded: “I think so. It’s on TV pretty much every day!, reports the Express . Will added: “It’s the highest rated show still on telly that’s repeated on their channel because people are nostalgic and they loved it!” The This Morning host agreed, noting that the cast have now matured and it’d be interesting to see where their characters are now. Ralf responded: “I think so. Part of Will and Ralf Should Know Better (their podcast), which is what we’re talking about. What I think is interesting is that back in the day, we were sort of Britain’s lads’ archetypal young lads. “We were Britain’s lads, and now we’re both middle-aged men. The world has changed, we’ve changed, I think that’s what makes Will and Ralf Should Know Better, really interesting and funny. I think the same thing could very much apply to what a version of Two Pints would look like.” Will disclosed to the two hosts that they’re both eager for the show to return, confessing they even had a script prepared. He remarked: “We pitched it and BBC turned it down, they just said they don’t want to revisit it, but it doesn’t mean it’s over.” Ralf chimed in with: “Yeah, we’re open for business!” Will made a plea for anyone watching who wants to help resurrect the show, adding: “Me and Ralf are up for it, so if anyone wants to make it, let’s do it.” This Morning can be viewed on ITVX.
