COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A Midlands family is honoring their young son by giving back to other children facing similar battles.
Five-year-old Logan Moseley has been fighting a rare and aggressive cancer for nearly two years. After enduring multiple surgeries and rounds of chemotherapy, doctors recently shared heartbreaking news — Logan’s cancer has returned and spread throughout his body. He is now receiving hospice care.
But Logan’s family is determined that his story will be one of love and giving. To carry on his generous spirit, they’ve organized a toy drive for patients at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital.
Hospital staff say there is a strong need for toys in the playrooms where families spend time before treatments. Donations will help bring comfort and joy to other children as they continue their own fights.
In addition to toys, Logan’s family is donating art supplies, gift cards and pantry items to hospital staff, hoping their son will be remembered for his compassion.
“I want Logan to be remembered for his giving spirit because he has always said that he wants to help other kids like him,” said Logan’s mom, Megan Moseley. “And we want to turn this pain into purpose.”
The Moseley family has also set up a wish list to make donating simple.
