Richard Keys Issues Shock Nuno Santo Prediction Days After West Ham Appointment

West Ham United’s new boss Nuno Espirito Santo will ‘eventually regret’ taking the managerial job at the London Stadium, according to former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys – with the Premier League’s managerial merry-go-round being described as a ‘revolving door’.
David Moyes was their fourth previous manager, though he amazingly only left in May 2024, which is little over a year ago. Since then, Julen Lopetegui has come into their ranks, though he left in January 2025 after taking just 23 points from 20 Premier League games in the capital. The Spaniard was replaced by Graham Potter, who hadn’t managed in the top-flight for almost two years, but with a record of just 23 points himself in 23 games the Englishman was also let go on Saturday morning, with Nuno replacing him following a run of four wins in five games.
Keys: Nuno Espirito Santo ‘Will Regret’ Taking West Ham Job
Nuno’s stock remains high despite his sacking from Nottingham Forest, with the ex-Wolverhampton Wanderers boss having led Forest to the Europa League via a seventh-placed finish in the top-flight last season, occupying the Champions League spots from December all the way through to May.
But despite finding himself a new job at West Ham after just 19 days of unemployment, Keys believes that Nuno will ‘regret’ taking on the role in east London – stating that he will be ‘abused’ just like his predecessors under the board of David Sullivan and Karren Brady. Writing in his blog, Keys wrote:
“As for West Ham – Nuno will eventually regret ever having taken the job. It’s only a matter of time before he leaves saying exactly the same things about Brady and Sullivan as all the other coaches they’ve abused.
I’ll say it again – I genuinely feel sorry for West Ham fans. Coaches will continue to come and go through the revolving door there and the club will remain a mess behind the scenes.”
The Hammers have had a poor start to the campaign, losing four of their five opening games in the Premier League. Incidentally, their only win of the season came against Nuno when he was at Forest, and he will be the man charged with leading them to survival.
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Nuno Espirito Santo has 72 wins in 184 Premier League games.
