A major high street name has confirmed it will shut the doors of its Inverness store next month.
The Original Factory Shop announced late last month that it was closing its outlet in Academy Street.
The move followed a raft of other store closures by the chain in the Highlands, with Dingwall’s shutting in May 2023, Invergordon losing its store earlier this year and Nairn’s closing this coming Saturday (September 20).
The closures are part of a Iwider cull of stores across Scotland and the UK as the company seeks to consolidate its business.
And now the Original Factory Shop has confirmed the actual date its Inverness store will shutter its doors – Sunday, October 12.
A spokesperson for the company said: “I can confirm that our Inverness store will be closing on Sunday, October 12.
“This decision was not made lightly and follows a thorough review of the store’s performance and long-term viability.
“We are working closely with our colleagues to support them through this period, and we’re grateful to the community for their support over the years.”
