There are a number of flood alerts in place across Wales as a yellow weather warning continues. The warning for wind has been in place since 8pm on Sunday, but flash floods have been reported during the period. It includes footage captured by Sarah Nichols showed a number of cars underwater amid flooding near Cwmbwrla roundabout in Swansea . On Monday the poor weather has seen the M8 Severn bridge shut in both directions as well as more travel disruption. The A483 Carmarthen Road in Swansea has been closed in both directions due to flooding since around 7am. The Met Office forecast for Monday states: “Very windy with gales, locally severe in coastal and upland areas, especially during the morning. “Scattered showers, heaviest and most frequent in the north, but occasional bright spells too. Feeling cool. Maximum temperature 16°C.” Natural Resources Wales has shared all the flood alerts in place for Wales. A flood alert means: “Flooding is possible. Be prepared.” It is different to a weather warning which means: “Flooding is expected, immediate action is required.” Currently there are no flood warnings in place, but there are four flood alerts.
