TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Indonesian government has officially set the number of national holidays and collective leave days for 2026. The decision was finalized during a ministerial-level meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime and Investment office on Friday, September 19, 2025.“As we witnessed earlier, we have signed a Joint Decree on the national holidays and collective leave days for 2026,” said Coordinating Minister for Maritime and Investment Pratikno after chairing the meeting.Under the decree, 2026 will have 17 national holidays and 8 collective leave days, in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 8 of 2024 on Public Holidays.“In terms of national holidays, we follow existing regulations. For 2026, the total is 17 days,” Pratikno explained.The collective leave policy was established through a joint decree issued by three ministers: the Minister of Religious Affairs, the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, and the Minister of Manpower.“This collective leave was the result of inter-ministerial discussions.
