The Punjabi music industry has been anxious after popular singer Rajvir Jawanda’s road accident. The 33-year-old singer, known for his hit tracks Kali Jawande Di and Mera Dil, was rushed to Mohali’s Fortis Hospital on Saturday in a critical state after suffering severe head and spine injuries. While his condition remains serious, Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann has now shared a fresh update. He said Rajvir is “better than yesterday,” even though he remains “unconscious.”
The Chief Minister personally visited Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Sunday to meet Rajvir’s family. Speaking about his health in an interaction with ANI, Mann said, “Rajvir Jawanda was the victim of a terrible road accident. He has been undergoing treatment here since yesterday. His fans worldwide are praying for his recovery. Today, I met with his family and doctors. His condition is better than yesterday.”
Giving more details, the CM added, “When he was brought in yesterday (Saturday), his heart and other organs were not functioning properly… He is currently unconscious. Recovery from head injuries is slow but advice from other expert doctors is also being sought. The doctors said that yesterday, he was not even in a good enough condition to be taken for an MRI.”
