Tata Capital Ltd., a prominent NBFC under Tata Sons, is set to launch one of the year’s largest IPOs, raising a staggering Rs 15,511.87 crore through a combination of fresh issue and offer for sale. The IPO opens for subscription on October 6, 2025, and will close on October 8, 2025, with shares expected to list on BSE and NSE by October 13, 2025. The IPO consists of a fresh issue of 21 crore shares worth Rs 6,846 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of 26.58 crore shares valued at Rs 8,665.87 crore. This book-build issue comes with a price band of Rs 310 to Rs 326 per share and a lot size of 46 shares, making the minimum retail investment Rs 14,996 at the upper band. Institutional and high-net-worth interest is expected to be strong, particularly after Tata Capital raised Rs 4,641.83 crore from anchor investors on October 3, ahead of the main offering. Reservation Structure and Allotment Timeline Out of the total 47.58 crore shares on offer, the following is the reservation breakdown: QIBs: 49.87 per cent (23.73 Crore shares) Non-Institutional Investors (NII): 14.96 per cent (7.11 Crore shares) Retail Individual Investors (RII): 34.91 per cent (16.61 Crore shares) Employees: 0.25 per cent (12 lakh shares) Anchor Investors: 29.92 per cent (14.23 Crore shares, already allocated) The allotment date is expected on October 9, with refunds and demat credits completed by October 10. Trading is likely to commence on October 13. Who Can Apply And How Much? Here’s how the investment brackets look: Retail Investors: Min 1 lot (46 shares) = Rs 14,996; Max 13 lots (598 shares) = Rs 1,94,948 sNII (Rs 2–10 lakh): Min 14 lots (644 shares) = Rs 2,09,944 bNII (Above Rs 10 lakh): Min 67 lots (3,082 shares) = Rs 10,04,732 Retail investors can apply at the cut-off price, while HNIs must bid within the price band. Employee category investors can apply up to Rs 5 lakh, and may be eligible for a discount if investing under Rs 2 lakh.
