Sony’s new flagship WH-1000XM6 wireless headphone has launched in India after its global debut earlier in May this year. The new WH-series headphone focuses on improved active noise cancellation which is one of the best in the segment, and you get better audio profiles with a tweaked design to make the headphones easy to carry.
The company is also promising long battery life with the new WH-series cans which is still one of the go-to options for many buyers, even though we are not a big fan of how Sony names these products (like a prototype).
Sony WH-1000XM6 Headphone Price In India
Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are priced in India at Rs 39,990 and you can pick them up in black, silver or blue colours. Sony’s new flagship headphones were priced in the same range for the global market but compared to the WH-1000XM5 (launched at Rs 24,990) this is a serious price increase for the buyers.
Sony WH-1000XM6 Features: What You Get
The new flagship headphones come with an advanced processor and an adaptive microphone system. The ANC levels surely benefit from these upgrades and give you even better isolation from the ambient sound.
Sony offers a new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3, which fine-tunes audio from 12 microphones. The brand claims the ANC level is 1.5 times more than the previous WH-1000XM5 and seven times faster than its predecessor in real time.
The design of the new WH-1000X headphone has been refined with an elegant, soft-fit wider headband crafted with vegan leather, ensuring a comfortable, pressure-free fit. The asymmetrical headband design allows for quick and easy identification of the left and right earcups. The earpads are designed for all-day comfort, using a stretchable material that provides a secure yet gentle seal, effectively reducing external noise.
The WH-1000XM6 also features scene-based listening. This innovative function uses sensing technology to automatically play music based on the user’s activity and dynamically adjusts the noise cancellation level according to their surroundings and location.
For a significant price hike, the WH-1000XM6 does get more features, a refined design and longer support. But Rs 40,000 is a lot of money, and we assume the interest around the XM5 will be lot higher for people who waited for the new model to launch.
