Pi Network has confirmed that Founder Dr. Chengdiao Fan will be a speaker at the TOKEN2049 event in Singapore, taking place October 1-2, 2025.
As excitement builds ahead of one of the largest crypto events in the world, where TOKEN2049 is expected to bring together more than 25,000 attendees, 300 speakers and 500 exhibitors including founders, executives, investors, developers, and policymakers, Dr. Fan’s speech is keenly anticipated by Pi’s community of more than 60 million engaged users.
In her speech, Dr. Fan will focus on crypto and blockchain as mechanisms for real societal utility and impact, analyzing current Web3 challenges and potential solutions for pushing the crypto space for more innovations in real-world utility. ‘​​Crypto’s Future: From Liquidity to Utility – Web3 Pathways to Innovation’ will be an examination of crypto and blockchain as much more than speculative tools. Dr Fan will analyze the current Web3 challenges in creating real utility and building genuine applications for everyday people, and suggest directions that the crypto space can explore for a potential breakthrough and further innovations. Those future and current innovations such as artificial intelligence (AI) will also be explored in the talk, including addressing the core challenges around human labor, economic equity, and the sustainable role of human intelligence. Dr. Fan will unpack the necessary conditions for blockchain to do so, such as mass adoption, identity verification, and decentralized production using AI. For technologists, policymakers, and founders alike, the session will offer a timely look at how we can shape AI and blockchain’s trajectory to benefit humanity and not sideline it.
