Drivers who get their car cleaned at an IMO Car Wash throughout September have a chance to have a sparkling motor and a rumbling tummy satisfied thanks to the free sweet treat offer . This comes as the car wash chain quizzed drivers about their favourite road trip snacks, where doughnuts clinched a top-five ranking . A third of Brits (31%) choose the circular sweet treat as their go-to snack ahead of other options such as sausage rolls, pastries , fresh fruit and protein bars. Crisps were crowned as the nation’s top road trip snack, with two-thirds of respondents (64%) picking them as their favourite. Sandwiches (56%) and sweets (55%) followed closely behind. But while doughnuts are popular, they’re also deemed as one of the messiest to eat on the move, with a third (32%) admitting they can be challenging to clean up in the car. To celebrate the results, IMO is giving away one million free Greggs doughnuts with every car wash throughout September. Customers can choose from Greggs favourites, including glazed ring doughnuts or caramel custard, as well as lemon meringue or triple chocolate muffins.
