NFF chieftains commend Salami on revival of Shooting Stars

Chieftains of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), have commended the Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Hon. Salami Taiwo, on the revival of the Ibadan-based Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side coupled with his contributions towards the enhancement of Oyo State’s image through sports.

Speaking on the margins of the NFF 2025 Annual General Assembly held in Ibadan over the weekend, the trio of NFF 1st Vice President, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu; NFF 2nd Vice President and NPFL Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye and the Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), George Aluo, all gave kudos to the 3SC boss.

Chief Anyansi-Agwu, the former Chairman of Enyimba FC of Aba, praised Salami for his pragmatic approach since his appointment to lead the traditional club, which is fast yielding positive results with improved revenue generation, which he said, will soon increase the club’s financial sustainability.

Speaking in the same vein, Hon. Elegbeleye charged the 3SC boss to continue with his sensible approach to the management of club, describing him as a beacon of exemplary leadership, adding the entire team to rally behind Salami’s vision.

“With collective effort and dedication, they can elevate the club to new heights and ensure its long-term success,” said the NPFL Boss.

Aluo in own remarks, said football management is in the DNA of the Lekan Salami family hence the shrewdness exhibited by the 3SC boss since assuming the leadership position in the club.

“This unwavering commitment to excellence is expected to inspire both players and fans alike, fostering a renewed sense of pride in the club’s heritage. As the community rallies around this vision, the potential for growth and achievement appears limitless,” Aluo noted.
